Veterinarian
Dr. Lindsay is originally from the beautiful country of Perthshire in Scotland. She studied Zoology at the University of Dundee before undertaking a PhD in Biology at the University of Sussex. She moved to Pennsylvania with her husband in 2011, joining Penn State University as a postdoctoral Research Fellow. However, the dream of becoming a veterinarian never left her and after being accepted to the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine, she graduated with her VMD in 2019.
Dr. Lindsay spent her first year as a new graduate in general small animal practice before making the transition to shelter medicine where she served the people and pets of Philadelphia through various community focused roles with organizations including the Pennsylvania SPCA and the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society, providing low-cost veterinary care and surgical services to underserved communities in multiple areas of the city. When not in the hospital,
Dr. Lindsay enjoys being outdoors in her garden with her husband watching the antics of her goose (Ryan Gosling) and her small flock of domestic ducks at their home in Chester County. Her time in shelter medicine means that she has also acquired three dogs and a small herd of cats. Coming from Scotland, Dr. Lindsay is an avid soccer (football!) fan and rises early every weekend to watch her home team of Dundee United while also following the fortunes of Philadelphia Union in the MLS.
